Tables can be added to web pages and are particularly used to control the content (text and images) and layout. A table can be used as a navigation bar, &/or the whole page can be saved as a web template.  A web page template is a 'starter page' for a new web page. This gives consistency. The user will know where the navigation buttons are, and where to expect other content.

If you are familiar with creating tables in other applications, such as Microsoft Word, creating tables in FrontPage is very similar.  As well as specifying the number of rows and columns, you can change border size, cell spacing and padding, colour cells and borders, add backgrounds and merge or split cells.

These skills will be practiced first by reproducing the 'Spotlite' web site.
